Our Creative Team

Totes Awesome! This is our unique and creative team that works together to bring you the best in pediatric television.

Seth Kanne
Program Manager

Seth (aka Mr. Wizard) is one of the tech guys. When he's not in the control booth, he shoots and edits the videos you see on channel 13, as well as videos for staff at Children's. Outside his job, he enjoys spending time with his two boys and playing guitar.

Eriq Nelson
Talent & Producer

Eriq has been an actor, writer, teacher, improvisor, and theater maker in the Twin Cities for nearly 20 years. Past theater experience includes Hey City Theater, Interact Center, Theatre Latte Da, Brave New Workshop, The Guthrie, Actor's Theatre of MN, The Redundancy Department, and many others. In his spare time he enjoys watching sports, cooking, and spending time with his daughter, Delilah.

Ben Diger
Broadcast Engineer

Ben is one of Star Studios tech guys. He manages all the computers and tech in the office. He loves Minecraft and has covered his desk in minecraft magnets. When he's not at Star Studio he's 3D printing something or flying his helicopter.

Tanya Juarez-Sweeney
Promotions Coordinator

Tanya is a graphic designer and coordinates promotions for Star Studio. She also occasionally hosts and runs tech. Tanya likes cheese, books, music, art and thinks the best song lyric EVER is "sitting on a cornflake waiting for the van to come." When she isn't at work she can be found hanging out with her family or leading tours for kids at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

Allie Krug
Production Assistant

Allie comes from a news background in Iowa reporting for a CBS affiliate. At Star Studio, she spends her time working on different fundraising events, running tech for shows, and co-hosting time to time. When she's not at Children's, she is biking around the lakes, hanging out with her family, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings!

Scott Thiry
Videographer

Scott is our videographer. He is in charge of creating new video content for our channel and running the St. Paul tech booth. When Scott isn’t at the studio, he enjoys being outside, playing “corn hole” (beanbags), or spending the day at the park with his wife Kendra, two kids Samuel and Hannah and black lab, Molly.
